At Bufete AI ("we") we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, what we use it for, and the choices you have when you use our websites, products and services (the "Services").

1. Information we collect

We collect three kinds of information:

  • What you give us. When you book a demo, create an account or write to us, we receive your name, your email and what you tell us about your firm, such as its size and country.
  • What your visit generates. Your browser and device type, your IP address, the pages you view, and the ad or link that brought you to the site.
  • What you upload to the platform. The documents and conversations in your account, which we handle as described under "Legal document handling".

2. What we use it for

We use that information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Services
  • Arrange your demo and answer your questions
  • Understand which parts of the site work, and improve them
  • Measure how our ads perform
  • Meet the legal obligations that apply to us

3. Cookies and measurement

We use measurement cookies from your first visit. You can turn them off in the notice shown when you arrive, or at any time under "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page. When you turn them off we delete the identifiers stored in your browser and stop loading these tools.

These are the tools we use:

ToolPurposeWhat it receives
PostHogUnderstand how the site is usedPages viewed, clicks, device type, approximate location and where the visit came from
Google AdsKnow whether our Google ads lead to a booked demoA cookie identifier, your IP address and the fact that you booked
MetaMeasure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show them to similar audiencesA cookie identifier, your IP address, pages viewed and the fact that you booked

Some services are needed for the site to work and cannot be turned off: Cloudflare hosts the site and checks that whoever books is a person, and Cal.com runs the demo calendar. When you book, we store the ad or link you came from alongside your request.

You can also limit personalized advertising from your Google or Meta account, or block cookies in your browser:

  • Google ad settings
  • Meta ad preferences

4. Legal document handling

We know you work with sensitive legal documents. This is how we treat yours:

  • No model training. Your documents and conversations are never used to train our AI models.
  • Data isolation. Each account is strictly isolated from every other account.
  • Encryption. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Access controls. Only authorized personnel can access your data, with your explicit permission.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We share it with providers who work on our behalf, such as hosting, scheduling, analytics and technical support, and only as far as that service requires. While measurement cookies are on, Google and Meta receive data about your visit and also handle it under their own policies.

Some of these providers process data in the United States and in other countries outside your own. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or in response to a valid legal request.

6. Retention and security

We keep information only as long as the purposes in this policy require, unless the law requires or permits a longer period.

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see, update, correct or delete your personal data, to object to a specific use, or to withdraw a consent you gave us.

These rights are recognized by, among others, Law 1581 of 2012 in Colombia, the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties in Mexico, and Law 172-13 in the Dominican Republic. To exercise them, write to hello@bufete.ai and tell us what you need. We answer within the time limits the applicable law sets.

If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you can go to your country's data protection authority.

You can choose not to give us certain information, although that may limit some features of the Services. The Services are meant for professionals and are not directed at minors.

8. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If you keep using the Services after a change, the current version applies.

9. Questions about this policy?

Write to hello@bufete.ai and we will answer.
